How to prepare mulberry ice cream

Mulberry ice cream, both black and white or red, is an excellent fresh preparation for the summer period.
To prepare mulberry ice cream, you can follow this simple recipe:
Ingredients:
– 500 g of fresh mulberries
– 200 g of sugar
– 500 ml of fresh cream
– Lemon juice (optional)
Instructions:
1. Wash the mulberries well and remove any stalks or unwanted parts.
2. In a saucepan, add the mulberries and sugar. Cook over medium-low heat for about 10-15 minutes, until the mulberries are soft and release their juice. Stir occasionally during cooking.
3. Once the mulberries are cooked, let them cool completely. You can also pass the mixture through a sieve to remove the seeds and achieve a smoother texture if you like.
4. Aside, whip the fresh cream until firm peaks. You can add a little lemon juice while whipping to give the ice cream a tangy twist.
5. Combine the cold mulberry mixture with the whipped cream, stirring gently from bottom to top, so as to incorporate the ingredients well without disassembling the cream.
6. Pour the mixture obtained into the ice cream maker and proceed with the preparation of the ice cream following the machine’s instructions. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, you can pour the mixture into a container and place it in the freezer. Every 30 minutes, at least 3-4 times, mix the dough with a whisk to prevent the formation of ice crystals and obtain a creamy consistency.
7. Once the ice cream has reached the desired consistency, transfer it to an ice cream container and place it in the freezer for at least another 2-3 hours, or until completely hardened.
8. Serve the mulberry ice cream very cold and enjoy it.
Remember that this is just a basic recipe for mulberry ice cream and you can customize it to your taste. For example, you can add chocolate chips, chopped nuts, vanilla, or other fresh fruit during the brewing process.
