How to prepare Melon ice cream

Melon ice cream is one of the ice creams with a simple and delicate flavour, excellent above all for giving relief in the hottest periods.
To prepare melon ice cream is quite simple. Here is a basic recipe to make it:
Ingredients:
1 ripe melon
250 ml of fresh cream
200 g of sugar
Lemon juice (optional)
Instructions:
Cut the melon in half and remove the seeds and skin. Cut the melon pulp into pieces and put it in a blender or mixer.
Blend the melon until you get a smooth, lump-free puree.
Add the sugar to the melon puree and mix well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
At this point, you can add a little lemon juice to give the ice cream a tangy twist if you like. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, whip the fresh cream until fluffy but firm in texture.
Add the whipped cream to the melon puree and mix gently with a spatula, being careful not to deflate the cream.
Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and stir according to the manufacturer’s instructions until the ice cream reaches the desired consistency. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, you can pour the mixture into an airtight container and place it in the freezer. Approximately every 30 minutes, remove the container from the freezer and mix well to break the ice crystals that form, repeating the operation 3-4 times until the ice cream is creamy.
Transfer the melon ice cream into a container with a lid and place it in the freezer for at least 2-3 hours, or until completely solidified.
When you’re ready to serve the ice cream, let it sit out of the freezer for a few minutes to soften it slightly.
You can garnish the melon ice cream with slices of fresh melon or add other decorations to your liking.
