Pteroil-heptaglutamic acid, known as Vitamin B11 or Vitamin S, is a water-soluble vitamin that intervenes in cellular metabolism.
Pteroil-heptaglutamic acid is essential for the proper functioning of the nervous system and for maintaining its good health, it also stimulates and regulates gastric and pancreatic enzymes. Its lack can then lead to neuropsychological and gastric problems and disorders.
The foods that contain Vitamin B11 are: red meat, cane and beet sugar, dairy products, soybeans, liver, eggs, cheese, green vegetables, beans, tomatoes, oranges, brewer’s yeast, pork, spinach, wheat germ, wholemeal flour, eggs, potatoes.

For those who follow a vegetarian diet it is recommended to take all those plant foods that are rich in them.
Vitamin B11 deficiency can lead to some muscular conditions such as dystrophy.
In the case of overdose with Vitamin B11, although toxicity is not demonstrated, the literature reports rare cases of gastritis, cramps, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and increased platelet aggregation.
