Here is a simple recipe for making strawberry ice cream:
Ingredients:
500 grams of fresh strawberries
200 grams of sugar
500 ml of fresh cream
250 ml of whole milk
Juice of half a lemon (optional)
Instructions:
Wash the strawberries and remove the stem. Cut them into pieces and put them in a bowl.
Sprinkle the strawberries with sugar and let them sit for about 15-20 minutes to release their juices.
Mash the strawberries with a fork or use an immersion blender to obtain a smooth consistency. If you prefer an ice cream with strawberry chunks, you can leave some not completely crushed.
Add the lemon juice to the mashed strawberries and mix well. This will help enhance the flavor and maintain a nice bright red color.
Add the cream and milk to the strawberries and mix until smooth.
Taste the mixture and, if necessary, add a little sugar according to your personal taste.
Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for making the ice cream. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, you can pour the mixture into a bowl and place it in the freezer. Every 30-60 minutes, stir the mixture vigorously with a whisk or spatula to break up the ice crystals and obtain a creamy texture. Repeat this 3-4 times during freezing.
Once the ice cream has reached the desired consistency, transfer it to a container with a lid and keep it in the freezer for at least 2-3 hours to completely solidify.
When the strawberry ice cream is ready, you can serve it in cups or ice cream cones and enjoy it alone or with a garnish of your choice, such as pieces of fresh strawberries or chocolate flakes.
