Now it’s late

Now it’s late is a short film made from a moral of the book: Come il Titanic?, published in 2015 by Aracne Editrice di Roma.
The short film, produced by myself, in collaboration with the Italian Blue Movement and with the Volunteers for the Earth Association, was made with the direction of Andrea Sardo, the screenplay by Gigi Restivo and with the participation of the actors: Riccardo Gaz, Salvatore Chiarelli , Nené Sciortino, Gigi Restivo, Paride Restivo and Leonardo Chiarelli.
The morals represented are highly topical, especially following the events of the Coronavirus Covid-19, which manifested the fragility of a human idea of ​​life, based on a materialistic and reductionist approach.

The story of the young protagonist contains the entire message of the book that compares personal life and the history of humanity today with the sad experience of the Titanic ocean liner, the result of human presumption, born with an exasperation of Enlightenment and positivist thought.
The epilogue of the short film, despite its drama, is not, however, a message of negativity. In it one must read a teaching to be handed down to this generation in the search for the true values ​​of Life, respect for the rules of Nature and its teachings.
The book Come il Titanic?, Together with its presentation and presentation method, received in 2016 the National Award for the Environment “Gianfranco Merli”.
