Sarment

By sarment we mean a long and thin branch typical of so-called sarmentose or climbing plants.
The term vine shoots more generally and properly indicates the branches of the vine detached from the plant after pruning.
The sarment is, in fact, a synonym of the branch more commonly called the branch.
