Vangile

The term vangile (or even vanghile) means a part of the spade.
The spade is a metal rod (also called stirrup or stirrup) that is fixed laterally on the spade handle.
The vangile has the function of helping the farmer during the use of the spade.
In fact, to increase the penetration force of the spade, especially in more compact soils, the farmer forces his foot on the vangile to make the blade of the spade penetrate the earth.
