Solano

In the climatic field, Solano is a wind that blows from east to south-east in the southern areas, especially in Spain.
This wind, in the summer period, from the months of June to September, carries very hot and dry air from the African coast.
The Solano thus crosses the English Channel and the Andalusian plain, with the cities of Seville and Cadiz.
The Solano is, therefore, a regional wind and is a slight variation of the Mediterranean sirocco, which however is unable to fill itself with moisture due to the short stretch of sea crossed.
In fact, this wind is a variant of the sirocco that blows between the North African coast and southern Spain.
