Know Renewable Energy – To Renew the Policy
Know Renewable Energy – To Renew the Policy
Renewable energy is the future of mankind, which Governments or Multinationals want it to count; this is what we need to arrive and the date of 2050, many of whom are now discriminated (for various factors including the one of exhaustion or not Economics of fossil sources).
But the question of renewable energies, how they are structured and how production and distribution can be accelerated can only be accelerated by careful and aware knowledge of the population.
We know how Italy does not shine in the renewable energy sector, although some government man hastens to give different data; that is not the case; For availability, latitude, morphology, etc. Our country is far behind in this area.
But let’s see in detail what the people of our peninsula think about it. According to the report: “The Italians and the Solar – Renewables and Efficiency”, realized by the UniVerde Foundation and IPR Marketing in collaboration with Cobat.
For 85% of Italians, our country should focus on solar energy and 67% on wind power. Once again, the favor of renewable sources rather than of fossils is confirmed. Once again, the favor of renewable sources rather than traditional ones such as coal, nuclear, natural gas and petroleum (which only reach 13%) is confirmed.
90% of the sample has no doubt about the benefits that solar energy can have for the environment and considers it perfectly safe. 65% would like to use it, but choosing this energy source is still bureaucratically too difficult (63%); Too expensive to support and manage (by 51%); Expensive (for 48%) and technically complex (by 36%). How to say we would like but we can not (and politics sleeps).
Despite the assessment of some negative aspects, the data collected in November 2016 shows how Italians are willing to reach by 100% of renewable energy by 2050 (and this is claimed by 75%).
In this regard, 89% of Italians consider it necessary for the Government to restore solar incentives. If self-consumption and bureaucracy were facilitated, 53% would be willing to install photovoltaic panels (and this would benefit the industry and the induced link).
Nevertheless, over 60% think there will be a clear transition to renewables and only 2% believe that we will continue to depend on fossil sources. 83% are in favor of the carbon tax on activities that produce CO2 emissions. With the primacy that Italy could have in the solar sector, the sample (57%) underlines the benefits of creating jobs.
Respecting the energy efficiency of homes, 61%, assessing the energy level of their home, responds that it is surely to be improved by waste-to-waste interventions (only 30% has already reduced them) such as exterior coatings with insulators, Photovoltaic systems and solar panels for hot water. The ecobonus is judged positively by 69% of the sample and should be strengthened by 81%. Here too the incentive system is inefficient and the loss for the country (in terms of buying incredibly unjustified fossil resources).
On climate change, 94% have no doubt that climate has changed in recent years and for 71% is an emergency to deal with. There is little confidence in the attitude of Governments considered hypocritical and inconsistent in addressing the climate issue (54%).
More than 60% of Italian champions fear that with the election of Donald Trump there will be a worsening environmental protection because (by 68%) will favor the interests of the oil lobby and will not respect the Paris Accord and the commitment to Reduce greenhouse gas emissions and keep the temperature rise within 2 degrees Celsius, thus also blocking the development of renewable energy sources.
Europe, with respect to the Paris Accord, achieved during COP21, should continue with determination even without the support of the United States (41%) or bind it to commitments (32%). It also raises the mistrust of the agreements taken in Paris, which for 73% of respondents considered only good intentions that will not actually be put into practice.
For the first time, 68% of Italians say they would vote for a politician attentive to environmental issues (it would now be). 59% argue that compared to 2007, when the European 20/20/20 strategy on climate change was defined, environmental policy-makers are not committed to anything and the environment has become a theme completely ignored by the political class .
However, in the survey, references (and this also tells them about the poor preparation / knowledge of much of the technical class and the researchers) to the energy expense due to an absurd agro-food system (we produce but not consume in the same place) Contributes heavily to CO2 emissions.
As a corollary of this survey, we are going to give more information on the concept of renewable energies:
Many know that “renewable energy” is the energy that is produced from natural sources on our planet and is constantly being recreated.
But not everyone knows that the main sources of renewable energy are: hydroelectric (electricity created through artificial dams and forced water pipes that move turbines), biofuels (fuels made from plant material), solar, wind power (electricity created By the force of the wind), geothermal (is the energy created by the heat sources present beneath the surface of the earth), biomass energy (that is produced by waste from natural substances: from banana peels to cows to cows, to waste agricultural). Finally there is marine energy (ie the electricity created by the movement of the tides).
Compared to fossil fuels (petroleum, coal, methane, etc.), hydroelectric, wind and solar energy do not create gases that increase the greenhouse effect, that is, gas considered responsible for global warming.
Recent studies argue that, in the world, there are more sources of geothermal energy than the sum of traditional sources such as oil, coal, gas, and uranium (incredible but true).
Another incredible but true fact: the total solar energy that the sun sends on Earth in just one hour, could meet the demands of energy all over the world for a whole year! Unfortunately, our technology is not yet efficient enough to allow us to make the most of this godly god (but it is well known that no research is developing new technology and no state-funded investment is done).
Even today, in some countries, producing energy from renewable sources costs less than that of fossil fuels. It seems to be desirable but it is not: the reason is that renewable energies are usually already in the countries that exploit them, are not imported from abroad (such as oil or gas, transported to Italy from the Middle East or Russia).
The International Agency for Renewable Energy claims that hundreds of millions of people in the world could receive clean electricity from renewable sources at a lower cost than having it with traditional systems (ie petroleum and power stations to transport it) .
One last-generation wind turbine (turbine) can produce sufficient electricity for 300 homes.
The wind blades are bad to see, loud and ruin the landscape: it is true. But, in our view, smoky chimneys of power plants are much worse! More polluting. But there are some who still nose the nose to convert the park of smokeless smokestacks (and pollutants from “dying” to that of wind farms) and moreover, experts argue that, by the same amount of money spent, renewable energies create triple Of jobs created by fossil fuels such as coal and oil.
Energy expenditure for agri-food transport, packaging, etc. (To name only the most striking question) does not justify this model of international markets which, without rules except the “very liar” of a free market without frontiers and practically unsustainable for the whole planet: goods travel 100/1000 times More than we would need to produce and eat in the same place, contributing to a disproportionate and unjustified CO2 and greenhouse gas emissions.
In a few months in Italy, as usual, it will be a renewal of various political bodies, both at regional and national level. But the debate is not about energy policies but on a right or a left or aggregation with incomprehensible inscriptions that demonstrate the largeness (I’m sorry to say) of our political class.
Before we create renewable energy, we need to renew the energy of policy makers, and this is only done with good information.
