Roots for the Future, the Sicilian crowdfunding program that transforms a donation into a life

SICILY – An initiative with strong environmental and social value comes from the Sicilian Agroecology Coordination, which is launching the “Roots for the Future: Plant Your Own Tree” crowdfunding campaign.
The goal is clear: to combat climate change, promote biodiversity, and support farms committed to the agroecological transition through the donation and planting of trees in Sicily.

How the campaign works –
With a minimum donation of €15 per tree, anyone can contribute by directly choosing the farm where the tree will be planted. Payment, easily made by credit or debit card, entitles you to immediately receive a personalized certificate of merit via email, confirming your commitment to the environment.
Each supporter will also be able to watch the planting of their tree through video updates or participate in person during the “Day of Common Earth Care,” scheduled between November and December, when farmers and citizens gather to plant the donated trees.

A concrete gesture for the future –
“A small contribution makes a big difference,” the promoters explain, “because every tree planted means more oxygen, more biodiversity, and more resilience for our territories.”
The project is part of a broader framework of agroecological initiatives aimed at building a sustainable, circular, and participatory development model.
