Arunta

Aranda (or Arunta) The largest center-Australian company. The Arunta live by hunting and gathering in the regions of the Finke River and the Macdonnell mountains.
The Arunta are divided into several groups to patrilinea descent. Totemism and magic show very advanced forms, which is linked to a rich mythology. The initiation includes circumcision and subincision, in addition to the fire ceremony. As language Arunta refers to a subgroup of the northern Australian languages.
