How to grow the pepper in a pot

Those with large sunny balconies or terraces can think of growing the pepper in a pot.
This technique clearly requires suitable vases (better than the dimensions of 0.50 x 0.40 x 0.40 meters) within which you will place at the base of the perlite (for about 5 cm) and the appropriate soil purchased in specialized shops or, if you can do it yourself, with a mixture of 70% of agricultural land (possibly not very calcareous) and 30% of organic substance (if you find the mature manure you are at most).
If you want to do everything yourself, keep the seeds of organic peppers previously purchased and, after having been dried and stored for a period of a few weeks, place them in seedbeds) and when the seedlings will have reached 4-6 cm (at least 3-4 leaves large) put them back. The seedbed can be made with small plastic cups (recycled and cleaned, so we recover everything) kept quite moist. If you can not reproduce the seed buy the usual sachets (in consortia or specialized shops, or online) with the varieties that you consider most suitable for the purpose of use (make sure of the expiration date because like all seeds the germination decreases with the passage of time ). Germination takes place in a couple of weeks.

For transplanting it is necessary to plan from the beginning of spring until the end of May.
The distance from plant to plant must be at least 30 cm so that a planter of 50 cm in length can go two plants: putting more plants does not increase production.
The harvest, depending on the transplant will go from July to September / October and during the period of vegetation the earth will be kept humid constantly (the good drainage will ward off some of your errors of excessive irrigation)
To avoid parasitic attacks you have to follow few rules: avoid placing the pots in a shady place (moreover it will produce little), do not exceed with water and, above all, do not use chemical fertilizers and above all nitrates or other synthetic nitrogen compounds.
Among the most frequent diseases, fungal attacks based on Botritis and Cladosporium can occur. In this case you can prepare a natural fungicide at home with a sodium bicarbonate solution (10 g in a liter of water) to be sprayed on the plant but not on the ground.
At this point wait for the collection of the product to …. meter zero.
